Here's the way Jazz let me know he *accepted* me. He hopped up in bed and was crouched in the *Library Lion Pose*. I could *see* his mind working by watching his eyes. I talked to him quietly for a few minutes. All of a sudden, he made a sound that was a cross between a cry and a whimper and lurched over towards me on his side. He landed with his head on my shoulder so the top of his head was touching my cheek. He slept like that for about an hour with my arm around his back.

He likes to rub up against me like a cat and butt me in the rear to *hurry* me out for our walk. A few times he butted so hard, his head came out between my legs and I had to lift one leg to let him by.

During Jazz's recent illness, he filled up with some *excess* gas. The vet had me give him Mylanta. Shortly after giving him one of the tablets, the gas began to *work* it's way out - sounding like a squeeky balloon. The first time Jazz picked his head up and *looked* for the sound. The second time (which was much longer) his head came up, he looked back at his rear and then did a *double-take* and pricked his ears up and had a look on his face that said "Oh my, that's coming from me". He very promptly put his head down before the *cloud* got to where he could smell it.
