Tim Cook
Surnames: Mary has been a member of the Marquette Genealogical Society for over 10 years and will do research for you. Also has done research in Alger County, including cemetery transcriptions.
Mary Turvey
I have the three volume set of " A History of the Northern Peninsula of Michigan and its People" by Sawyer 1911. Contains biographical sketchs, farming information, and mining information that may very useful to others, would be willing to do look ups from the index....
Jim Markle
I have a book printed in 1895 called Memorial Record of the Northern Peninsula of Michigan, published by The Lewis Publishing Company. In it are perhaps 800 to 1000 short biographical sketches of subscribers for which they paid $15.00 in 1895 to be included in this book. I would be happy to do lookups for anyone interested.

The Ethnic Beginnings of Alger County, Mi Compiled by Charles A Symon.
Memorial Record of the Northern Peninsula of Michigan; consists of short biographical sketches of subscribers. Roughly 800-1000 names of men from the UP.
I also have some obituaries from the weekly newspaper, The Munising News.

I am probably most useful in obtaining copies of documents and pictures of individuals from Burt Township/Grand Marais. There are many resources available to me there. I am currently working on the Alger County Sheriff Emergency Medical Services in my spare time and it is located at the courthouse here in Munising.
