ANDERSON, Theodore, my father. Last known to reside in Detroit, 1959. His family had been established in the upper peninsula for quite some time. His parents owned a small home. His father worked for the railroad as a conductor or ticketmaster and retired between 1951-54. I do not know his fathers first name, but believe his mothers first name to be Anna.

He had several brothers and one sister. Names that I remember are Vigo, Hulgar and Iler. Iler was employed in mining and owned a farm and raised chickens and horses. Iler died in 1954-55, reportedly while at work in the mine. My fathers sisters name was Margaret, married name unknown. I believe she was married to someone in the medical profession.

My father was married to Eleanor Josephine Pavlik sometime between 1940 and 1945. He has two children Joanna Karen born 9/24/47 and Jacquelynn Kay born 9/16/48. I am not confident what county or counties these individuals resided in, even though I actually attended kindergarten somewhere in the upper peninsula during 1952-53, (Joanna Karen).

I would appreciate any information concerning my father or his family. There were a lot of aunts, uncles counsins and second counsins in the upper peninsula even in 1959. I would also appreciate any suggestions pertaining to pursuing this. The only actual dates I have are birthdates for my sister and myself.

Nelson T. Bordeleau, born 20 April 1898 in Menominee, MI, married Mary Evancheck on 8 April 1919 in Walsh, WI, died 15 July 1968 in L'Anse, MI (SSDI #369-03-1100).

Was in First World War, settled near Menominee. He was son of John Bordeleau and Jane Laplante who married 22 January 1893 in Iron Mountain, MI. I am looking for more information on Nelson when he was in L'Anse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am the granddaughter of James HOLMES b. 1834 North Esk, New Brunswick, Canada. First wife Mary BURNS: children William J. HOMLMES (my grandfather) b. 1870 North Esk, New Brunswick, Canada and Clifford b. 1873 Menominee. James' second wife Jane CARR b. Mar? 1863 Canada, d. 1939 Menominee, MI. children: Catrina/Catarina/Caterina b. June 1892, Menominee, George b. June 1894, Menominee, Gregory b. 1906 Menominee, and perhaps three more children. My Uncle was William HOLMES, brother to James, who was Mayor of Menominee for two terms, 1897-1900, 1903-1904. Looking for husbands' grandmother and grandfather. Mary Louise Beseau married to native American or Louis Payton. She had several children born in U.P. Mary Blanche 1898, Ellda 1897(1907)born in Gladstone, George (husbands' father born 8/11/1908 in Iron Mountain, Kenneth born in Little Lake February 19, 1911 birth never recorded. We believe grandfather was killed in a sawmill accident in Iron Mountain in 1909 because he was a native American who took a white mans' job at the sawmill. We also believe there may have been several other children born prior to 1908. GEORGIC Looking for an obit for Georgeis(Gyoegyik),Mihaly. He went by the name of Mike Georgic, he lived in Iron Mountain. His family was there when he died in Perkin- Brampton, Delta Co. on Jan 29, 1892 While clearing some land. I am currently researching my family roots. I was born and raised in Iron county. My grandparents on my father's side were Susan (Stefanik)and Steve Fodor. My grandparents on my mother's side were Louis and Luellen (McGarvey) Greenwood. Some of my family besides settling in Upper Michigan, settled in Wisconsin and some in Illinois. The Greenwood side is French and the original name was Boisvert. Frank Greenwood came from Lower Canada to settle in Wisconsin. James and Ellen (Olsen)McGarvey were Luellen's parents. I am interesting in finding out anything I can about either side of my family.

Seek information about JOHN A. COUILLARD and JOSEPHINE LACOURT family of T. Oconto, Oconto Co, WI and later in early 1900s migrated to Sagola, MI.
