1) Stambaugh, Michigan, Centennial: 100 Years on the Hill 1882-1982 (contains history of area and biographies)

2) Scrapbook of Florence Valentine Holmes, containing Anniversary and Death Notices of Family and Friends, c.1840's to c.1870's. Most clippings from Iron River/Stambaugh area.(Indexed)

3) Birthday Book of Florence Valentine Holmes, containing birthdates of family and friends, 1921-c.1940's (Book was used during this period, births prior to this period are included.) Most entries from Iron River/Stambaugh area.

The above include several hundred names in all.
BTW, Florence Holmes was my grandmother.

I have the three volume set of "A History of the Northern Peninsula of Michigan and its People" by Sawyer 1911. Contains biographical sketchs, farming information, and mining information that may very useful to others, would be willing to do look ups from the index....

I have a book printed in 1895 called Memorial Record of the Northern Peninsula of Michigan, published by The Lewis Publishing Company. In it are perhaps 800 to 1000 short biographical sketches of subscribers for which they paid $15.00 in 1895 to be included in this book. I would be happy to do lookups for anyone interested.
