Medusa's Place ESPAÑOL




Tania and me want to wish you and your family, a very very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This time of year is for sharing and having good times with family and friends, we enjoy this season very much, and we want to share with you some recipies, so we -in a way- can share the holidays together. Hope you like them!



FRUIT PUNCH

INGREDIENTS
26 Hawthorn (the fruit Tejocote)
16 Guava
1/2 Cup of Raisins
4 Apples
1/2 Bottle of Red Wine
7 Slices of Cinammon
Sugar
Rum

Wash and cut the Hawthorn (tejocotes fruit). Wash and slice the apples and guava. In a pot with 25 cups of water, boil the pieces of fruit, with the sugar (sweet as desire), the cinammon and the raisins. When the fruit is cooked, turn off the heat and add the red wine and rum to your taste. Serve hot!
(NOTE: If you can't find the Tejocote, you can substitute with pears or another favorite fruit)


DATE CANDIES

INGREDIENTS
1/2 Ltr. of Milk
300 grms. Sugar
400 grms. Dates (fruit)
150 grms. Nuts
50 grms. Granulated Sugar (to sprinkle)
100 grms. Cherries

Mince the dates, mix with sugar and milk; put the mixture on the stove stearing constantly, when a paste is formed that can be separated easily from the sides and the bottom of the pot, remove from stove. Mix a little bit more, add the finely minced nuts, make little balls with paste, sprinkle them with granulated sugar; decorate them with half a cherry.
(NOTE: to make them look nice for a present, you can buy little baskets and put them in the baskets with a nice red bow.
