Once upon a time my name was Bandit. I lived with a crabby old cat and her people. When I was just over a year old something happened and the lady took the crabby old cat and me to the vet. I never saw either one of them again.
At the vet they put me in a wire cage and kept me in the back for a while. Before and after office hours they would let me out and play with me. Finally they moved my cage to the waiting room. I watched as lots of other animals came in with their people but I didn't recognize any of them. Sometimes people would come over and pet me and call me a pretty kitty but I stayed in the cage.
One morning a lady came in and made a big fuss over me. She left for a minute and came back with a BIG black dog. The BIG dog walked right over the cage to sniff me. I was scared so I hissed (did I mention that the dog was BIG?) but the dog just stood there and grinned at me so I curled myself into a ball. The lady took the BIG dog away and came back alone. She took me out of my cage and played with me for a long time but then she put me back and left me alone again.
But, she came back with a man. They had cat food and stuff and took me with them. When we got home (I knew it would be home) who did I find there? You guessed it...the BIG dog. Her name is Cookie and it's her house (or so she thinks). It took us a little while to get acquainted since I was not used to the ways of a dog, and she knows no feline manners at all!
Mom and Dad gave me a new name, Ceecee, for Cookie's Cat. I like it here and I intend to stay. I have a summer porch with lots and lots of windows. For winter I have a window perch right next to the computer and Dad put bird-feeders in front of my two favorite windows. I am stalking Cookie and teaching her how to play cat games. I am a very busy cat.
