The Gift Of Love!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights,.....
James 1:17

It's the holiday season again! This is the most celebrated time of the year. There are many opinions out there as to what this season should mean or whether or not Christians should even celebrate the birth of Jesus. We are not here to argue any of these opinions. We are here to hopefully spread love to a world and to God's people who want to accept it.

At Christmastime amidst the hustle and bustle, the decorations, the music and the pretty packages, we are always reminded of those who may be facing a difficult time. This can be the loveliest time of the year for some.....but for many, unfortunately, this is the saddest time of the year! If you have ever experienced it, you will certainly know how unpleasant it can be.

There are those who will be facing their first Christmas without a loved one who has gone to be with the Lord this year. Other husbands, wives and children are awaiting the return of their spouse or their parent to bring their families together again. There are also so many wonderful single people left behind in all the commercialized romance of the holiday season.
For many this is a time of quiet pain!

....and if there is any other commandment,
are all summed up in this saying, namely,
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Love does no harm to a neighbor;
therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 13: 9-10

As Christians we are called by God to love one another.
This statement is no truer than at this time of year. If you truly want to feel the message of Christ, His birth, His life, the unselfish gift of His life to save ours......reach out and take someone in need under your wing this holiday!
It is God's commandment!

Give Someone The Gift of Your Love!

The Gift of Love is the most precious, inexpensive (Free!) gift, you could ever find, yet so many will give everything else but it! This "gift" is about what other people need deep inside, Love! (Not the tangible items that we can aquire with money!)

Look around......do you know someone who might be in need? Perhaps the person most in need is someone very close to you. Perhaps that someone is your spouse or your children, your neighbor, your co-worker or your boss. Do they need your gift of Love! Do you know someone who is alone or hurting this holiday season?

God has a very special place for those who are hurting!
There is no one closer to God than those who are in need!

Therefore we do not lose heart.
Even though our outward man is perishing,
yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
while we do not look at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen.
For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4 16:18

If you are hurting, know that God is working in you right at this very moment. He cares for you more than you can realize! It is very hard to face the holidays with a heart that is heavy. Reach out to those around you, and try to stay involved. There is so much to see and do this time of the year! But most of all,...learn the wonderful lesson of "giving away your pain"! Do something for someone else. No matter how bad you may be feeling,...reach deep inside you and find the love in your heart to give to someone else. You will be amazed how lighter your heart will become. It works everytime!

Perhaps you are reading this and are contemplating a reconciliation of your family! Know that God wants your family together, forever. Divorce is not a part of His plan for our lives. That does not mean that we will not face hard times.....we need to look to our spouses for the support, not tearing one another down when things are not right. Remember the day you vowed your life to your spouse to God. He blessed you with a companion and perhaps a family. What have you done with the gift our Lord has given to you! In God we have been given all the necessary tools to make a happy marriage and family. We need to use what God has given us and bring our families back into the family of God. What better time than right now to make this critical decision!

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ
Galatians 6:2

Nothing pleases God more than to see His children genuinely caring for each other. As the day grows nearer to the celebration of our dear Lord and Savior's birth, remember to care for each other just as He cares for you! Its up to us you know! We have the power and the love inside us through Christ to make a difference in the lives of many. Please don't waste your precious gifts from above.

Open your door and let your home shine with the light and love of Jesus Christ!

Happy Holidays To You!
Happy Holidays To You!

For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life

John 3:16
