Stephen and Page Butler started singing together at age 13 at camps, churches and various civic groups. Our Father was a member of the Gidions and that allowed Stephen and I as the Butler Boys to sing quite often at different camp meetings. The highlight of our young singing career was singing at the McConnell Air force Base in Wichita KS. In those younger days I always felt like I had the better singing voice between Myself and Stephen but as I listened to some of those old recordings I realized that Stephen had the stronger voice.

Both Stephen and I became Christians at the age of 15 and started writing songs soon after Our first song was called LORD OF ALL. We were Preachers kids which meant we were expected to be perfect but we both fell short of that perfection. We had a lot of trying times during our teenage years but God used those times to teach us and get us going to his word. I believe that only when a person goes to Gods' word will they be able to write a song that truly glorifies the Lord. I absolutely love listening to a song and knowing where the writer got thier inspiration. START OVERandHE'S EVERYTHING are two of the songs that best describe our past and our reason for being in the ministry.

At age 19 we started singing for the southern gospel group Calvary Echos. I was amazed at how little I actually knew about how to sing and perform. Bill Pennington and Phil Erway both members of the group taught us both tons of stuff and I thank God regularly for allowing us to be a part of that group.

At age twenty We both got married and had our first children. I still only have one boy and Stephen has a boy and a girl. being a Father has been one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. As I grew up everyone told me about the discipline, but no one told me about the fun.

Stephen and I are currently booking concerts for the Butler Brothers and have pulled most of our irons out of the fire so we can concentrate on doing the music God has called us to.
