Grand Assembly Information Arkansas Grand Assembly International Order of the Rainbow for Girls INFORMATION ABOUT GRAND ASSEMBLY 2004 Thank you for your interest in attending our Arkansas Grand Assembly. Our Grand is June 24th thru 27th (Thursday thru Sunday) in Magnolia, Arkansas, on the campus of Southern Arkansas University. This is in the south central part of the state, about 145 miles south from Little Rock. The cost is $125.00 per person, and this includes all meals and lodging. The cost for the Grand Representative to Arkansas from your jurisdiction is $100.00. The cost for the Grand Worthy Advisor from your jurisdiction is $75.00. Members of the Supreme Family will be our guests. We start with registration beginning at 10:00am on Thursday. You may arrive in casual clothes. Our rule on shorts is: when the person is standing straight with their hands extended at their sides, if the shorts extend below the fingertips, they are OK to wear. Formal (long) dresses with straps are acceptable in any color except black for the events beginning Thursday evening. Thursday during the day we practices for many events (short dress) with our informal opening (but formal attire) on Thursday evening. Friday morning is the formal opening and introductions (all sessions are formal). Friday afternoon is the initiation, Grand Representative reports, and greetings from out-of-state guests. Friday nite has the Majority and Memorial services and the slide show. Saturday morning is more of our business session (long dresses) and when we announce the new Grand Officers. At noon we initiate the new members of the Grand Cross of Color. Saturday afternoon is free time for some and crazy time for others in getting ready for the events that nite. We conclude our Grand Assembly with a banquet, awards presentations, and Installation of Officers on Saturday night. We head home after breakfast on Sunday morning. We will be staying in dormitories, so you will need to bring your own bedding (twin-size beds), towels, etc. Please contact me at WEGigerich@attglobal.netif you need any further information.
