This is Ollie up a tree. We got him from the Humane Society at age 7 months. He is now 10 years old. He doesn't like to be held or cuddled. He likes to jump in my bed before I can make it for his long daily nap. He is an inside/outside cat. When I am outside in the yard, he will fall at my feet and roll over on his back for me to lean down and pet him. We have an open field in back of our house and Ollie likes to go in the field and hunt for field mice and then bring them to the back door and he thinks he can bring them in!! One day my husband wasn't paying any attention when he let him in and the first thing he knew we had feathers in the kitchen. He had caught a bird and brought it in the house, still alive. So from that day forward we always watch what he has in his mouth before we let him in!!

On October 1, 2001 Ollie was loosing weight and we took him to the Vet. The Vet took X-ray and Blood sample to determine what was wrong. They found a large mass on his colon. On October 2, 2001, they opened Ollie up and found that it was cancer and it had spread to his lymph nodes. At age 14, the Vet said he probably wouldn't survive the surgery, and he would not have a good life...so sadly we made a decision to have him put to sleep. It was a hard decision, but we did not want him to suffer. Ollie..rest in peace!!! We loved you!!!
