![]() Hello! Welcome to my homeschool page. I only homeschooled for five years, so I don't claim to be an expert. I think it is valuable for all homeschoolers to be able to share their ideas, and experiences. I believe there are as many ways to homeschool as there are children being homeschooled. Everyone knows their own children best so, they are the only ones who can determine the right course for their family. It is my hope to be able to share with you, here on my pages, some of the great things I have found and learned. If you are new to this, are considering it, or just have questions, I'll do my best to help you out. One of the beauties of homeschooling is you have lots of company and everyone wants to help you suceed. The first question I asked was, "Can I really do this?", I don't have a college degree, I some times loss my patience, etc, etc. Well, I received alot of assurance that I could do "this", and you don't have to have a degree, and that everyone losses their patience now and then. The best thing to start with is some reading. On my booklist page you will find some good books to help you get an idea of what's involved. I will also put some links here to my favorite sites and resources for homeschoolers. Click here to chat with other moms JustMoms chat room THE THREE MYTHS OF HOMESCHOOLING is a very good article to help you understand homeschooling and some of the misconceptions surrounding it.Articles by John Gatto If you have not read his writings about the history of schooling and the mindset of main line education, you should.
