TO A SPECIAL FATHER

Many times I sit and think
Of a time gone so fast.
And I dare not blink.
Thoughts go back to yesterdays
Of picnics, fishing trips
And nightly outdoor stays.
We enjoyed the laughter
The fun was shared by all
Yes Dad...We had a ball.
So many memories to look upon
Even the parties
From dusk till dawn.
Throughout the years, my love has grown.
By leaps and bounds
So much to be shown.
To tell you I love you seems not enough.
And to show you my feelings
Well..It makes you blush.
The warmth in my heart Dad
Is something unreal.
I hope you know how you make me feel.
You have been
You are
And you shall always be
A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR
To Me.
