TIME
Why does Time
Seem to fly?
I feel the world
Is passing me by.
I need to stop
This Roller Coaster I'm on.
Slow things down
Before my life is gone.
This house once held
Quite a few.
Now it's housing
Only two.
We meet in passing
And we smile.
Think to ourselves
Haven't talked in awhile.
The night it comes.
Our bodies we'll rest.
You'll pull me close.
And place my head
On your chest.
We'll fight the urge.
To close our eyes.
As soon we know.
There'll be blue skies.
The routine starts.
All over again.
Sometimes we wonder.
Will there be an end.
