Humboldt
County Sheriff's Office |
|
|
|
The
county seat is Winnemucca, which is located at the junction of Interstate 80
and U.S. 95. Winnemucca is 51 miles west of Battle Mountain, and about 78 miles
east of Lovelock. H.C.S.O. has a substation up north in McDermott, which is
on U.S. 95 at the border of Oregon. |

These
two patches are actually the same size. Now that I have finally figured out
how to scan my patches so that they become relative in size on the web page,
you will start to see these disparities cleaned up. The reason that there are
two patches shown here is that they are actually a little different. Look at
the very top and you will see that there is a difference in the curvature of
the top of the arrowhead. The one on the right is more defined. The moccasins
are a bit different and the printing is different. I imagine this is probably
only a different manufacturer. |

The
patches worn by the correction deputies and the street deputies are the same
in color and design. However, the street deputies patch is larger. The current
Sheriff of Humboldt County is Gene Hill. This is the corrections patch. |

The
same situation as with the two larger patches exists with these two patches.
As you can see, there are small differences between the two, but they are actually
both the same size. These are the corrections patches. |

This
is the badge patch. I don't know the dates that this was placed into use. |

This
last patch is smaller still. I haven't seen this one in use, so I am left to
guessing. I think it is probably a hat patch. |
