Song of Solomon 2:1-2 The ladies of Roses of Sharon are an amazingly warm and close group who share their days of joys, sorrows and prayers with each other. We have many activities going on and our most important reason for grouping together is to spread the Good News that Jesus Christ our Saviour is with us. We come from all walks of life and from all over the world and keep in constant communication through chats, emails and message boards. Fertility: Moderately Rich Soil: Neutral, Well-drained , High, Medium Grown for its large, showy colors that come in a variety of colors, from pink and red to dark blue, or white with red centers, this deciduous shrub is a true old-fashioned favorite. The flower petals have undulating edges and the leaves are deep green and glossy. They need plenty of moisture in the growing season and a rich soil. Full sun is best and you can prune these shrubs in the spring; tip-pruning for the younger plants and a harder pruning for the older ones so they will maintain their good shape and bloom production. You should deadhead faded blooms in the flowering season or the flower size will diminish. These will self-sow readily. Newer hybrids of this plant are available with interesting colors and better garden features, such as fewer seed pods and self-cleaning. I've dreamed many dreams that never came true. And gone many days without song, But I've sipped enough nectar from the roses of life To make me want to live on.
