Meat Production and Use

[Llama] meat is the best in the world: it is tender, tasty, and wholesome.

Arabian Camel

According to ArabNet, the best camel meat comes from young male camels, and is "regarded as a delicacy in the Arabian diet." Camel meat is also becoming more popular in arid countries where it is difficult to raise sheep, cattle, and goats.

Camel meat has a taste similar to that of beef, but is not easy to chew.

Llama

In 1995, the designer went to a llama-cue, and experienced, first hand, the taste of llama meat. On the menu were llama sausages and llama burgers, served with fresh corn on the cob.

While llama meat is a rare delicacy in Alberta, it is an important part of the diet for many people living in parts of South America.
