The Air Force Prayer
God grant me the eyes of an eagle,
The stealth of a stalking tiger,
And the balls of an Army Helicopter Pilot.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
John Stuart Mill
"We are asking today's youth to leave home,
deploy at a moment's notice,
and give his life for his country
for the same pay as a fry cook."
US Army Chief of Staff
General Dennis J. Reimer
November 1998
Definitions of a Helicopter
1)"A mass of fatigued metal, rotating around an oil
leak."
2)"An odd collection of nuts and bolts flying together in loose formation."
More Helicopter Wisdom
Helicopters can't fly; they're just so ugly the earth repels them.
I spent a little over 8 years as a U.S. Army Aviator. My last two years were as a UH-60 Blackhawk Instructor Pilot at Fort Rucker, AL. We left Fort Rucker and the Army on July 7th, 2000, and we're now living near Astoria, Oregon. I'm working as a Pilot for Helicopter Air Transport flying the Agusta 109K2 and 109E (Power). Below there are three groups of work pictures. The First pictures are of my job with Helicopter Air Transport in Astoria. The next pictures are from Fort Rucker, AL. The last pictures are from the 68th Medical Company in Hawaii.
