Burials Made In Camden
Annual Statistical Report by L. Dana Ward, Sexton of Forest Park Cemetery -- Total List 39.
A report from the records of L. Dana Ward, caretaker of Forest Park Cemetery, shows that there have been 39 interments made in that burial plot during the year 1906. From a glance at the list the striking fact is sadly impressed upon us that the town has laid to rest during the twelve months some of its old and substantial residents, for out of the 39 deaths the largest percentage were persons of advanced years or of old age. Another singular fact is that only nine females are noticeable in the record. On the list are found four over 80 years, nine over 70, eight over 60, three over 50 and five over 40, making 29 out of the 39 over 40 years of age. Altogether it is one of the most remarkable reports ever made by the sexton of the cemetery. The following gives Mr. Ward's report complete:
