      • Patience's Beseen WDW Chat Room


        And information about a Weigh Down Chat Room was posted by Patience on the WDW Encouragement Board, 06 August 1998. "I would like to invite everyone who is a WDW participant to come to my new chatroom. Here is the address and most likely only WDW-ers will be there . WDW CHAT every evening at 10pm Central. Please come! http://jupiter.beseen.com/chat/rooms/h/827/ When you get there scroll down in the lower area to give yourself a handle or nickname. Hope to see you there soon!!"
        I have been watching posts about this chat on the WDW Encouragement board and it has appeared to have enjoyed a good level of success. I suspect that Patience's enthusiasm, hospitable servants heart and hard work all have a lot to do with this.

        *For people who do not have java or Mirc*

        I highly recomend Patience's WDW chat room but I beleive it would also be a great place for ALL who are interested in chatting with WDner's to visit. Patience has posted a note on the e-board letting folks know that if you are new to wdw chat and would like to visit a room with lots of folks you might enjoy the Barnabas Room.

        WDOnline is a chat room for those interested in *Weigh Down Workshop that seems to have the best traffic flow to date. The purposes of this room are: to provide a place to discuss how Weigh Down Workshop has affected our lives, to provide a place where those going through the program can ask questions, to provide some online support for those not able to attend a class, to provide a place online where those involved in Weigh Down Workshop can pray for one and other, to provide a place for praise and worship of our Creator, to provide a place to develop online friendships.
        *This room and page are totally unofficial, and not connected officially in any way to the Weigh Down Workshop. The room is located on Talkcity. If your browser if Java enabled, you can go straight to the room using the above hypertext link. #WDOnline is a chat room for PC or Webtv. You may also enter there on the on talkcity webpage. Once there it can be accessed by typing in WDOnline in the "other" box just the way you see it here with the WDO in caps and the rest in small. After get to talkcity and you register (free) you should be able to chat.
        Some computers don't support those chat options. You may need to download Mirc (info found at talk city) and add chat.talkcity.com to the server list, the port # is 6667 and Description is Talk City. Then once you are connected through talk city, join channel WDOnline. Remember it is almost always empty in the day time-best bet 8:00 to 10:00 CST.

        This was also posted on the WD Encouragement board on 18 Aug 1998. "A new WDW chat room has been added on ICQ. The ICQ # is 17488121 if you already have ICQ. If you don't and you'd like to, just email me jbivie@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you, so that you can join us. Chats will be random for now, but as more people find out about this room, we'll schedule a couple per week. Look for me. I'd love to chat live with you. "

        The private room name is wdwchat. Evenings are probably the best time to catch someone there.

      • Christian Chat Network WDW Chat

        Another chat room is located on the Christian Chat Network and the channel is called #WDW. There are complete instructions on how to get chatting as quickly as possible on the CCN webpage , then click on instructions or chat now. Look for Lizzee as she opened this channel for anyone who would like to fellowship online with others in the WDW program for support and encouragement in their commitment to walk obediently with our Lord.
