4. Henry Bethel CROCKER was born on 24 Sep 1872. He died on 10 Aug 1937 in Shady Grove - Pike Co., Al.. He was buried in Belser Cemetery - Pike Co., Al. 1. Alice Crocker, who married Sam Henderson, was sister.

2. Originally came from Coffee Co., Al. to Pike Co., Al. (Shellhorn area) to Crenshaw Co., Al. (Highland Home area) to Montgomery Co., Al. (LaPine area) to Pike Co.,
Al. (Shady Grove area).

3. Carey Crocker, son of Drury Crocker and Lucy Barlow moved to Barbour Co., AL and in the 1860 census of Barbour Co., Texasville, he was family 1225-1205. His wife was Rebecca, age 58 and he was age 54. Children were listed as:
Bethel, age 18, born in AL. (DOB Calculates @ 1842.)
Martha, age 16, born in AL.
Wiley, age 13, born in AL.
Annie A., age 11, born in AL.
- Check if Henry Bethel was son of this Bethel.
- Check 1880 Census of Barbour Co. and see if Henry Bethel's father was born in VA and mother was born in SC which would match above record.

4. A Bethel CROCKER is listed in the 15th AL Infantry Regiment Muster Roll as a Private, Company F, Enlisted 1 Mar 1862, died of disease in spring of 1862, served under Col. William Calvin Oates, age listed as 18. (DOB calculated @ 1844.)
There is also a Jackson Crocker listed same rank, same company, same enlistment date, died of disease on 15 May 1862, age listed as 23. They were probably brothers.
Since Bethel died 10 years before Henry Bethel was born, possibly these two were uncles.

5. The 15th Alabama Volunteer Infantry Regiment was organized at Fort Mitchell, AL in Aug. 1861, with eleven companies recruited from Barbour, Dale, Henry, Macon, Pike, and Russell counties. With over 900 men, the regiment was moved into east TN and then VA. It joined the main army near Manassas and was brigaded with the 21st GA, 21st NC, and 16th MS Regiments under Maj. General G.B. Crittenden of KY (Brig. General Isaac R. Trimble succeeded Crittenden in Dec). When the army moved over to Yorktown, the 15th remained on the Shenandoah in Maj. General Thomas J. 'Stonewall' Jackson's Division to participate in the Valley Campaign. It was engaged with slight loss at Front Royal (23 May 1862) and Winchester (25 May), but it lost 9 killed and 33 wounded out of 425 engaged at Cross Keys (8 June).

5. Minnie Beulah HENDERSON was born on 3 Oct 1879. She died on 15 Mar 1958 in Montgomery, Al.. She was buried in Belser Cemetery - Pike Co., Al. Children were:

child i. Ruth Ester CROCKER was born on 21 Oct 1900. She died on 14 Apr 1980.
child ii. F.M. (Buck) CROCKER was born on 13 Jun 1904. He died on 28 Jun 1929.
child iii. Eunice Bell CROCKER was born on 23 Oct 1906. She died on 18 Jan 1993 in Savannah, Ga.. She was buried in Park Hill Cem.- Columbus, Ga..
child iv. Myrtle Lucille CROCKER was born on 15 Apr 1909. She died on 8 Jul 1987.

child vi. Samual CROCKER was born on 1 Jan 1915. He died on 30 Mar 1989 in Yazoo City, Ms..
child vii. Theo Ned CROCKER was born on 20 Jul 1920. He died on 21 Mar 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was buried in Woodland Cem. - Snowdon, Al.. He was a Mechanic. Uncle Ned met Aunt Helen in Utah when he was in the Army.
child viii. Jack Rowland, Sr. CROCKER was born on 20 Jul 1920. He died on 6 Jan 1980 in Columbus, Ga.. He was buried in Buena Vista, Ga..
