Here are details on Alexi's ABC book.

I made this book for Alexi's second birthday, and I really wanted it to be a learning tool for her. I chose verses that were short and simple (all verses are NIV version), and on each page I put items that were easy for her to relate to. I tried to put at least two pictures on each page, and I also tried to include items from the following categories for each letter: things to eat, animals, and miscellaneous. I organized each page ahead of time, so I knew what color was going on each page (I used the colors of the spectrum w/ a gingham pattern), and what I wanted each page to contain. Then I put it all together, and had it finished in time for Alexi's birthday! I can't say that she loved it right away, but she does enjoy looking at it, and is even beginning to learn parts of the verses.

Because many people have asked where I got the verses, I'm listing them here, along with the items that I used on each page. Feel free to print the list out, and use the ideas in an ABC book of your own.
