Dotty turned up at the pound in Wisconsin where Jayne works. Jayne immediately fell in love with her and decided to find her a good home. She turned to Terri Haase's bulletin board and Kathleen turned up in Kentucky. Suddenly the panic was on. How was Jayne going to get Dotty from Wisconsin to Kentucky? Terri turned to me and I said "Sure...we can do this!" and it was on!
It was so exciting every day to hear about her progress with her spay surgery, receiving a picture via e-mail, getting last minute details straightened out...and then the run began and I was hearing accounts from different people about what a sweetheart she was for them. I was keeping track of their progress and when Kathleen called me at 4:29 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, to tell me that she had arrived, I nearly collapsed. What a wonderful feeling...Dotty has a new lease on life and Kathleen has a new baby to spoil rotten.
