Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Give God the Credit

Give God the credit for all things good,
Give God the credit, you know you should.
Even though you may create a poem
Or plant a garden or make a home,
It's God who gave the skill to you
In every single thing you do.

You may play a harp with flare,
Or plant and mold with special care.
Perhaps your hands have nursing skills
Or your repair a need fulfills.
No matter what God gives you to do,
Give all the praise to Him--not you.

So, if you want to thank your friends,
Remind them of the love God sends.
Encourage to give thanks to Him,
For He has given skill to them.
God gave us brains, He gave us brawn,
Let's praise His name and not our own.

Longing for Heaven

I'm homesick for heaven
For a land that is fair
To dwell with our Saviour
Where we'll not shed a tear

The new earth with fragrant
Flower and tree
With large and small creatures
Who won't fear and flee

We'll travel to planets
Or stay right at home
And spend every Sabbath
Close to God's throne

No discord or friction
Will mar our sweet joy
As we learn many secrets
In happy employ

If I will find heaven
The place I expect
Then I must get ready
And let God correct

The fruit of His Spirit
Oh may they appear
To make me like Jesus
Holy and pure

Dear Lord give me power
From heaven above
Help me be filled
With sweet tender love

So when Jesus returns
From heaven so fair
To take us back with Him
I'll feel at home there

Life's Storms

The sky is clear and blue
No clouds in sight
To break the dearth
In life

Colors come thru drab
No action's taking place
Yet blessings still abound
In life

Be thankful for the calm
It won't remain too long
Before a storm afflicts
Your life

Build faith while thoughts
May come thru clear
Before begin the trials
Of life

Dark clouds will come
God helps those
Who bravely bear their lot
In life

FRUITFUL SHARING

Fruitful fields are ripe for harvest
Some need tender care
Others take a bit of tugging
Let us do our share

Before our Saviour can return
We must harvest grain
Give our energies to Jesus
Share our glad refrain

Share His love and joy with others
Let them know we care
The Spirit's fruits we bear abundant
When His love we share
