He married Susan Adeline Curnutt Newton, Carol Co. AR, February 07, 1878. Susan was born May 22, 1858 Boone Co. AR. Susan died March 09, 1950 Butte Falls, OR, at 91 years of age.

James Irving Brown Jr. and Susan Adeline Curnutt had the following children:

42 i. Infant⁴ Brown was born December 1878. Infant died December 1878 at less than one year of age.

+ 43 ii. John McDonald Brown was born April 23, 1880.

44 iii. Sarah Louise Brown was born Osage, AR October 20, 1881. Sarah died March 20, 1884 Chico, Butte Co. AR, at 2 years of age.

+ 45 iv. William Clarence Brown was born February 28, 1882.

46 v. Mincy Miles Brown was born November 26, 1883. Mincy died November 30, 1883 at less than one year of age.

+ 47 vi. Mary Susan Brown was born August 29, 1885.

+ 48 vii. James Franklin Brown was born August 23, 1887.

+ 49 viii. Omia Melinda Brown was born December 14, 1889.

50 ix. Albert Bethuel Brown was born Gatesville, OR March 12, 1894. Albert died December 27, 1975 Portland, OR, at 81 years of age. He married twice. He married Clara Lewis. He married Nellie Mae Sams.

+ 51 x. Ruth Elizabeth Brown was born August 06, 1896.

+ 52 xi. Martha Lucinda Brown was born November 10, 1898.
