He married Mildred Magdalena Baser July 14, 1928. Mildred was born April 04, 1904 Hamgurg, NY. Mildred died January 14, 1992 Oroville, Butte Co. CA, at 87 years of age.

Clifton Barnes and Mildred Magdalena Baser had the following children:

+ 172 i. James Frederick⁵ Barnes was born August 25, 1929.

+ 173 ii. Richard Barnes was born May 01, 1935.
