DEED

JABORS MAIN TO PHILLIP MINTON

This Indenture made the sixteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and two between Jabors Main and Hannah his wife of Washington county in the state of Virginia of the one part and Phillip Minton of the said county of the other part Witneaseth that the said Jabors Main  and Hannah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid Do bargain and sell unto the said Phillip Minton his heirs one certain land or parcel lying and being in the said county of Washington on a branch of the South fork of Holston river and on the south side thereof containing one hundred acres be the same more or less and bounded as followith to wit. Beginning at two cucumbers on dry creek thense S83E11 poles to a white oak S41E10 poles to a chestnut S83E8 poles to popular S of 8 poles to a sourwood on a ridgeS by W199 poles ? by a marked white oak and red oak to a stake S by 199 poles ? by a marked white oak and red oak to a stake N10W10 poles to the beginning with all the appertances to have and to hold the said land or parcel of land with all appertances unto the said Phillip Minton and his heirs to the sale use and ? of him the said Phillip Minton and his heirs forever and the said Jabors Main & Hannah his wife and their heirs the said lease or parcel of land with all its appertances unto the said Phillip Minton and his heirs against all persons whatsoever will ? and shall forever defend. In Witness thereof the said Jabors Main and Hannah his wife have hereonto inbroiled names and afficted seals the day and year first above written.
