DEED

PHILLIP MINTON TO HEZEKIAH FAIRCHILD

This Indenture made this 19th day of July one thousand eight hundred and three between Phillip Minton and Levina his wife of Washington county the state of Virginia of the one part and Hezekiah Fairchild of the said county of the other part ? that the said Phillip Minton and Levina his wife for and in consideration of the sum of eighty pounds current money of the United States to them in hand paid do hereby bargain and sell unto the said Hezekiah Fairchild and his heirs one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Washington on a branch of the South fork of Holstein river and on the South side thereof containing one hundred acres be there more or less and bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at two Cucumbers in a dry creek thence South S3E34 pole, to a white oak S41 East 10 poles to a chestnut S83 E 8 poles ? S1E8 poles to a sourwood on a ridge W122 poles ? by marked white oaks and ? oak to a stake N10West10 poles to the Beginning with all its appertance to have and to hold the said tract and parcel of land unto the said Hezekiah Fairchild and his heirs to the sole ? and belief of heirs their & Hezekiah Fairchild and his heirs forever. And the said Phillip Minton and Levina his wife for their use of the said Hezekiah Fairchild and his heirs covenant bargain and sell all their right and title claim and interest onto the said Hezekiah Fairchild forever against all persons whatsoever will warrant and deferred in Witness hereof the said Phillip Minton and Levina his wife interchangeable afficted out seals the day and year above mentioned.
