DEED

JACOB & JAMES MINTON TO STERLINGS GOINS

This indenture made and entered into this first day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine between James Minton and Jacob Minton of the county of Claiborne and state of Tennessee of the one part and Sterling Goin of the same place, of the other part witnesseth, that the said James and Jacob Minton for an in consideration of the sum of three hundred  and twenty five dollars to them paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged , hath and by there presence. doth grant bargain sell and convey and confirm unto the said Sterling Goin his heirs and assigneee forever a certain tract or boundary of land lying and being in the county of Claiborne and state of Tennessee being a part of the tract of land where Samuel ? Robinson formely lived, containing one hundred acres being the same more or less bounded as follows Beginning on _post Oakes and black Jack ?an old field then north westwardly 26 poles to a black Oak then north westwardly and along the top of the ridge 50 poles to a black Oak & Sassafras thence northeastwardly 110 poles to a double Black Oak the Eastwardly 60 poles to a pine, then northwardly 50 poles to a Spanish Oak ? corner thence, with  ?? north 81 ? 76 poles to his Chestnut corner, thence south 57 West 68 poles to a Pine, the top of a ridge, thence North 35 West 40 poles to a black Oak corner, thence South 89 West 64 poles to a Stake, thence South 23 poles to Spanish Oak in S D Goin line, thence North 50 East with said line 16 poles to a post Oak, thence with a marked line North 24 E.40 poles then North 22 E.40 poles North 44 E.84 poles to two Black OaksJames corner then South 85 1\2 E.120 poles to a Pine and postOak stay? line then with a marked line to the two post Oaks and Black Jack, the place of beginning, to have and to hold the aforesaid one hundred acres of land unto the said Sterling Goin his heirs and assigns forever with all and Singular the woods, waters, minerals, and whatsoever in any ? appertaining or belonging to said land. The said James and Jacob Minton them selves an their heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend against the lawful claim of the selves and all manner of persons whatever to the daid Sterling Goin his heirs and assigns forever, in witness thereof the said James and Jacob Minton have unto Set their hand and seals the day and date above written in the presence of us.
