Census records spell his surname as OWENS. IGI shows that George married
Margeret Malloy on 2 Aug 1874. Not sure that this George is the son of
William & Phoebe. Other records indicate that there were more than one
George Owen. Tennessee Archives has records of Civil War pension application
for George W. Owen who was still living at 83 yrs in 1914. This matches the
age shown in the 1850 Census. record.
