Francis of Floyd Co. and Sherman possibly of Magoffin or Breathitt. Franics's parents were Walter WALLEN and Julian MCGUIRE. Sherman's were Lewis SHEPHERD and America BRADLEY. Wondering if anyone had information on the following or could do lookups. Looking for information on George Washington REFFITT b. 5/5/1855 in Breathitt Co. Died 1925 Bath Co. KY. Buried in Jones Cemetery in Salt Lick beside his wife Martha Jane MORRISON and son Claude. He m. 2/10/1876. Claude was born in Frenchburg, KY 4/24/1888. He m. Lulabelle HOBBS 4/21/1913. Claude d. 12/20/1950 in Danville, IL. George W.'s father was William REFFITT died 1898 county unknown, but I have been told by other family members that he had lived in Bath, Breathitt, Wolf, Boyd, Boone, Floyd, Menifee and several other counties. No other information is known. He was m. to Martha P. HALL. Curious about Martha as I have her father as a John Morgan. do not know if this was a stepfather or if she was married prior to marrying William Reffitt. I do not have dates for when she was born or when she married William. Also do not have her parent's names.
