PORT FAMILY

The first known Port in my family was John Port born in Prussia. He married Anna Rosenkranz.
John and Anna and the two oldest children arrived in New York City on the ship Peter in July of 1852. The ship had sailed from Bremen, Germany.
Children of John and Anna were:

1. Anna G. born about 1849 and married a Smith (first name unknown)
2. Louisa born 24 Aug 1850 and married in Pittsburgh, PA, Phillip Kappel
3. Jacob born 1852 in PA and married Eliza Strohm
4. Lizzie born about 1859
