Temperance Mayfield Sees - Died March 20, 1910.  She was Born October, 2, 1835 and was married to Jonas Sees on June 15, 1853.  They had fifteen children.  her husband died May 1, 1876.  She was a member of the Christian Church.  Children surviving are:  Mrs. Sarge Nolan of Conaway, WV;  Mrs. Mary Morgan of Pine Grove, WV;  Mrs. Eber Bates of Ashley, WV;  Mrs. Jonas Glover of Alvy, WV;  Mrs. Sarah Coen of Alvy, WV;  J.S. Sees of Roberts;  C.C.  Sees of Alvy,WV;  She is also survived by  the following brothers and sisters:  James and Robert Mayfield of Conaway, WV;  John W. Mayfield of Middlebourne, WV;  Mrs. Susan Glover of Alvy, WV;  and Mrs. Arsina Bennett of Tannersville, WV.  Funeral services conducted be Rev. G.W.Eagon of Sardis, OH.  Interminent beside her husband in McIntyre Cemetery.

William Sees - Died January 23, 1927 at his home at the head of McIntyre Fork of Indian Creek, a few miles from Alvy, age 69.  He was the son of Jonas and Temperance MAYFIELD Sees and was born on Elk Fork Creek near Conaway in Ellsworth district.  In his younger days he taught school in McElroy district and later was elected Justice of the Peace, which office he held at his death having served 30 years.  He is survived by two brothers, James of Salem and Richard of Centre Point and three sisters, Mrs. Joann Glover of Wallace, Mrs. Arizona Bates of Shirley and Mrs. Mary Morris of Wileyville, Wetzel County.  He was a member of the Christian Church.  The Interment was held in the McIntyre cemetery on McIntyre Fork.
Carl "Sonny" Spencer - , 67, of Beech Bottom, died Friday , July 30, 1999, at home.  He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh, Steel.  He was preceded in death by his father Earl E. Spencer and a sister, Shirley Jean Spencer.  Surviving is his wife; his mother; four sons; three daughters; a brother; a sister; and fifteen grandchildren.  Interment in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom.
