Chili Pie
| 
 8 whole peeled green chilis  | 
 1/4 lb grated cheddar cheese  | 
 5 eggs, slightly beaten  |

 2 T cream or milk  | 
 3/4 t salt  | 
 Black pepper  | 
 
 
    
      
        | 
        
 
    
Oven Temp: 325deg--30 min Yield 1 10" pie  
Preheat oven. Grease a pie pan or casserole. Line bottom and sides with chili, layered open.l 
Blend eggs, cheese, cream, salt and pepper til thoroughly combined. 
Pour egg mixture over the chilis -bake 30 minutes or till set. 
 
Can be served as main dish or hors d'oeurves.

Turkey-Taco Salad
  
  Chili Casserole
| 
 1 1/2 lb ground beef  | 
 4 slices bacon  | 
 1 c thinly sliced onion  | 
 
| 
 1/4 c chopped green peppers  | 
 1 lb can kidney beans----undrained  | 
 2 c canned tomatos-drained and chopped  | 
 
| 
 2 T tomato paste  | 
 2 T chili powder  | 
 1 clove garlic-crushed  | 
 
| 
 1/4 t cloves  | 
    | 
 Oven temp 300 deg-1 1/2 hrs.  |

Easy Pie Crust
| 
 3 cups flour  | 
 5 T water  | 
 1 T vinegar  | 
 
| 
 1 1/2 c shortening  | 
 1 egg well beaten  | 
    | 
 
 
  
    
      | 
 Makes 2 pies, top and bottom. 
Cut shortening into flour, then add liquids. Will keep in fridge 2 weeks.

  Bavarian Apple Torte:
    Preheat oven 450 degrees.
     
Sweet Crust: | 
 1/2 c butter  | 
 1/3 c sugar  | 
 
| 
 1/4 t vanilla  | 
 1 c flour  | 
 
 
    
  
  Mud Pie:
| 
 25 chocolate wafer cookies, crushed  | 
 1/4 c butter or margarine, softened  | 
 1/2 gallon coffee ice cream, slightly softened  | 
 
| 
 1/4 c fudge topping  | 
 Whipped cream  | 
 Toasted sliced almonds  |

Marinating Sauce for Fresh Fruit Salads
  
    | 2/3 c. sugar | 
    1 t dry mustard | 
    1 t paprika | 
    1/4 t salt | 
    1 T lemon juice | 
   
  
    | 1 t grated onion | 
    1/3 c honey | 
    1 c salad oil | 
    1 t celery seed | 
     | 
   
 
  
    | Mix well with a beater and pour over your favorite fresh fruits.
     | 
   
 
 
 Cream
Cheese Dressing
  
    | 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened | 
    1/8 t salt | 
   
  
    | 1 T lemon juice | 
    2-3 T mayo | 
   
 
  
    | Beat cream cheese w/ electric mixer.  Add remaining ingredients;
mix well.  Serve on fruit salads or head lettuce.  Makes 6 servings.

to top   4th of July Cheesecake
  
    | 1 c sugar, divided | 
    1/3 c butter | 
    1 1/2 c graham racker crumbs | 
    4 eggs | 
   
  
    | 3 8oz pkgs cream cheese | 
    1 t vanilla extract | 
    1 21 oz can blueberry pie filling | 
    16 large, ripe strawberries | 
   
 
  
    | Preheat oven to 350°
     | 
   
  
    
In medium pan, heat 1/4 c sugar and butter; heat on low until melted, stirring
occasionally.  Stir in cracker crumbs.  Press crust mixture evenly
over bottom of 13 x 9 baking pan.  
In  large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.  Gradually
beat in remaining sugar.  Beat in eggs, 1 at a time.  Add vanilla
until well blended.  Spoon blueberry filling over crust.  Pour cream
cheese mixture over blueberries.  Bake until set ~45 - 50 minutes. 
Cool, then refridgerate at least 2 hours.  Garnish w/strawberries (1/2
berry on each "square of cheese cake) 
Very pretty and tasty dish for this Holiday!!
