Kathy's Paintings

The doll w/ apples plaque is from a pattern book by Maxine Thomas. I love her designs - tons of details, and most all are finished with an antiqueing gel.

I started painting in September 1998, and this is one of the most complicated I designs I had tried.

The fairy is designed by Ritva Rasmussen-Brenna chose the pattern for an old stool we had. A bit complicated for this beginner, but it came out pretty after all!

The mouse house is a microwave popcorn holder - Kevin cut and it took me 5 days to paint it! I wish the picture showed all the detail - it came out so cute! I took it to work and sold 2!

The Santa garland and the ornaments below are some of what I sent to the Children's Cancer centers. The ornaments & trees were to be auctioned off to raise money for the clinics. (2 in US and 2 in Canada)  This was a project organized thru the Decorative Painters Forum.
This is a design that Brenna chose for her room.  She also picked out a purple fabric with butterflies and we made a valance; next project is to paint vines and purple flowers as a border!  I'll post pictures when I get a round tuit!

Below are a few of the jars I've painted.

The jars below were custom ordered from a lady who had purchased one of
my jars through my eBay auctions.  This photo was taken before varnishing.
