Chapter History

The Strawberry River Chapter name was chosen as the Strawberry River flows through the area. The Strawberry River Chapter held its organizational meeting on Saturday, October 13, 1979 at the Horseshoe Bend Clubhouse. Planning meetings with Mrs. James H. Stevenson and Mrs. Edward L. Westbrook had been held to establish a DAR chapter in the tri-county area of Fulton, Izard, and Sharp counties.
