Everyone then celebrated with dinner and dancing on the porch. A dance area and some tables were set up on the lower level with a balcony and tables upstairs overlooking the dancers. The wedding party was introduced and then the best man gave a toast to Jeanie and Jan. The DJ had the place rocking - literally. Wine and beer flowed freely.
Dinner was served buffet style from the kitchen and consisted of apricot mousse garnished with cherries, grapes, and blueberries; salad; moose/buffalo meatballs in a curry sauce; caribou/reindeer shreded meat; mashed potatoes with red skins on; Thai noodles; Halibut in a dill sauce; cucumbers; and crescent rolls and bread.
Desert was a chocolate bridal cake; homemade vanilla ice cream; berry sauce; cream puffs; and creme brule. The feeding of cake to the bride and groom was done in a very dignified manner.
