If there ever was a band that was as unique as its members-it's got to be Heckler. Formed in the Fall of 2000, each member brings different influences to the table, but somehow, this New Jersey trio find a common ground, and the result is a group that cranks out punk rock anthems in the style of GREEN DAY, the heart on your sleeve lyrics of THE REPLACEMENTS, and the smart pop sensibility of THE BEATLES. Founding members Ben (guitar/vocals) and Skiz (bass/backing vocals), met at a radio station staff meeting at school and realized they were tired of playing everybody's music. It was time for them to step up to the mic. After a year of slugging it out in clubs, vfw halls and county fairs; a change was needed in the line-up to solidify the drummers slot. Enter Pete. Pete, formerly of the band DODGEBALL, brings a wealth of playing and touring experience, a powerful, consistent beat behind the kit, and of course, a van. Playing shows in support of their self-released demo, Heckler has been winning over fans faster than you can get to the punchline! And with the edition of their latest masterpiece, "The Sweetest Thing", (and an EP in the Spring 2003) the songwriting shows maturity, while still packing a punch!!!
