Target groups for health education

Each of the SHE students had to assess the situation in her own community and the willingness of those involved persons to cooperate. Her choice to a certain target group for health education depends on her personal potentialities. The distribution of choice of target groups was as follows:

• primary school children (70%) (Tolsma &Koplan, 1992)
• women in literacy classes (10%)
• nursery children (10%)
• preparatory & secondary school pupils (10%)
