Medical Students as Health and Environmental Promoters

Periodicity of health & environment education activities

In general health education sessions for target groups were of 1-2 hours duration or on block and given:

• each week
• every two weeks
• every four weeks
• some students gave the session on block every 3 months

With a periodicity of 1-3 months, some teachers or relatives volunteered to give the sessions during the time inbetween .The topics were diverse each time. In some schools one of the teachers got engaged in providing the health education to the pupils. In two other schools a "pupils health education group" was even initiated by an interested teacher.
