My name is Ellen de Groot, I am born in 1959 in Groningen in the Netherlands. For eight years I have lived in France, but since five years I live in Amsterdam again. In April 2002 I walked the Chemin St-Jacques (the Camino), from the Spanish border to Santiago de Compostella. This was such a unique experience that this year from the beginning of May till the middle of June I walked another part of the Camino, from Le Puy en Velay to the French/Spanish border (800km). It was really a very inspiring and beautiful journey, and I was pretty lucky with the weather.
