NOTES: Jacob lived for a short time near Old Orchard Beach before moving to Flying Point, a part of Freeport, where he purchased portions of the Dummer Claim [re: Cumberland County, ME Registry of Deeds]. He was a successful farmer. On his farm he built a strong blockhouse as a protection for the neighborhood from the Indians. He was a noted Indian fighter in the French & Indian Wars.
