Butler

Name origin: The family derived their origin from the old counts of Briony or Biony in Normandy, a descendant of who, Herveius Fitz Walter accompanied the Conqueror to Eng. The king conferred on him the office of Chief Butler of Ireland, hence his descendants took surname of de Boteler or Butler.
