    2. Thomas Cranmer (Archbishop) d.March 21, 1555 burned at the stake in Oxford, England.

    NOTE: Thomas Cranmer, Esq. probided annuities for sons Edmund and Thomas in his will, and they were both educated at Cambridge (Edmund, B.A. in 1513; M.A. in 1520) and after granduation both entered holy orders. Thomas is buried between the nave and the north aisle of the Whatton parish church in an alabaster tomb. Thomas was Squire of Aslockton, to which the family had moved sixty years before the birth of his son, Thomas.
