LEBANON
Our call is from Lebanon, a small peaceful country in the Middle East,
which was occupied by its neighbors in late seventies. Israeli army withdrew
from Southern regions on May 2OOO, while bout 35,000 Syrian troops still
occupying more than 90% of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut. Syrians
control Lebanese policy and resources ignoring UN Security Council Resolution
No. 52O that calls for withdrawal of non-Lebanese forces from Lebanon.
We therefore urge all Lebanese, Friends-of-Lebanon and Freedom-and-Democracy
supporters from allover the world to help us setting Lebanon free. All
persons, institutes and governments could take effective steps to force
the Syrian government to pullout her army from Lebanon and to release
the Lebanese detainees who were dragged to Syrian prisons during the past
27 years. Syrian act represents a clear violation for international laws
and human rights.
Each person could support this human issue from whatever country he/she
lives in. He/she can boycott Syrian interests during his daily or occasionally
acts.
Boycotting Syrian products, individuals and institutes in addition to
calling for Syrian pullout from Lebanon will increase the general opinion
pressure over Syrian communities, and hence on Syrian Government to pullout
from Lebanon.
All institutes are invited to assist Lebanese move toward freedom by minimizing/suspending
all sources of coordination with Syrian groups/institutes that represent
a regime, which occupies its neighbors land and detains its people.
All governments are urged to help Lebanon implementing UN Security Council
Resolution 520 by practicing effective pressure over Syrian Government.
Especially that the current Lebanese authorities are under Syrian control,
since their troops occupy most of Lebanon including the airport, presidential
palace and ministry of defense. The people inside occupied Lebanon who
ask for Syrian pullout are arrested and imprisoned.
Boycotting Syrian interests allover the world is an effective way to force
Syrian pullout from Lebanon.
It is important to mention that this act is not against Syrian people.
However Syrian nation should help increasing pressure on their Government
to withdraw. Especially that 27 years of Syrian occupation for Lebanon
have raised a great status of hostility between the two neighbors.
Be a patriot Lebanese,
Be a real friend of Lebanon,
Help bringing out the Lebanese case and the UN resolution 52O everywhere,
Boycott Syrian interests: individuals, institutes and products as far
as you can till the Syrian pullout from Lebanon.
