Much to my husband's chagrin, my nose is usually in a book, and I manage to read one or two a week. And, when it comes to movies, I prefer those with an "English" theme.' Well, what say I? I thoroughly enjoyed "HONOUR AND HUMILITY." I like the storyline, the formality of the times, and the characters. The book is nicely laid out and the illustrations add to its charm. Needless to say, I couldn't put the book down. I look forward to your next novel. Congratulations, it is a well done book. |
Allow me to begin by saying I am grateful for the opportunity to read this book. I shall keep it always, and, more than likely, will read it again. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book because it took me back to a time and place that was laid back yet exciting at the same time. I couldn't put it down because I wanted to be so much a part of the main character's lives and I just wanted their lives to be perfect. I look forward to another book written by this author. |
Your book reached me on Saturday morning, which was a blessing in disguise as I had the weekend to myself. I love the book. I just finished reading it and would like to ask you if you would write a sequel to it, it is brilliant. I like what you did with each of the characters and the new characters which you brought in. I liked what you did with Ann, Lady Catherine, etc. I found the ending very interesting. I do hope that you will now consider writing a further sequel to this as it is a wonderful book. I couldn't put it down all weekend. I know that I will be recommending this book to quite a few of my friends on the internet who are Pride and Prejudice fans as well. Once again, thank you for a wonderful book. |
Concerning "HONOUR AND HUMILITY" a sequel to Jane Austen's 1813 novel, "Pride and Prejudice:" To be able to step from the busy twenty-first century, with all it's pressures and anxieties, into the quiet and pleasant life of the early eighteenth century is indeed a pleasure. This is what you can do when you read this delightful book, recently published. "Honour and Humility" follows Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" as if it were actually the sequel to Austen's original book written by Austen herself. Genevieve Wimer has captured the delightful style and holds your interest from the very first page, while you meander through the social country life with Elizabeth Bennet, one of fiction's most delightful heroines. |
I lent my book to my sister on Tuesday and just received it back. She, like me, is an avid "Pride and Prejudice" fan and sends her compliments by saying that it is the best sequel by far out there. You have brought the characters much more to life. We both agree that you represent the characters very well... I love the picture on the front of the book. Please do think of doing a sequel to this book as you will find you will have many disappointed fans if you do not. I have put a review of your book on the Pemberley.com site which is dedicated to Jane Austen recommending your book to readers. Once again, |
I wanted to take a moment to tell you what an enjoyable winter I've had thanks to your book, Honour and Humility. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I read Pride and Prejudice last fall. I just wanted to refresh myself with the original story first. I was glad I did. I think it made me appreciate your book all the more. Every time my husband turned around, I had my nose in your book and he said, "Is it that good?" I can't imagine how long it must have taken to write all those words. Let me know when the movie comes out! God has blessed you with many gifts and I thank you for sharing your gift of writing. You shared quite a testimony through the character of Mr. Darcy. How refreshing and commendable. You surely must have had a feeling of immense satisfaction after having completed this work. If you write any more books, please let me know. Again, thank you and congratulations for a job well done. |
