Towards
satisfying a quest for sustainability and to
augment its other fund raising activities, HEMNet
has recently opened a services section run by
freelance journalists among its members.
Still in its introductory stages, this section
is to run various income generating
activities. Currently, these include;

Article syndication - As part of an
activity geared at thrusting community issues
on health and environment to the public
domain, to generate both debate and
resolution, this is a service run by
rural-based freelance members and decidedly
entails stories seeking attention and
resolution to problems affecting livelihood in
the rural communities.

Multi-media services - This
includes generation of multi-media products,
digital still/video photography and
multi-element virtual brochures. Joint
planning and design to suit each client's
unique requirements.

Coverage coordination - Depending
on each organisation's requirements, this unit
plans and coordinates media coverage on events
and issues towards defined objectives.
*
Research & Reports - Includes
sending out teams to investigate desired
development/societal subjects and/or producing
detailed reports on the same. The Reports
service also includes professional
documentation services for conferences,
workshops and meetings.
