The picture on the left is Helen Mary Magdelen Voss, circa 1924. She later became Helen Terhune. The picture on the right is Ira Van Terhune, circa 1927. Inscribed on the back of his original    "Met IVT Oct 29, 1927 Gave Picture To Me Dec 6, 1927" .

My maternal grandmother, Caroline Wolters, born Dec. 30, 1869 in Germany and mother, Helen Terhune.  My grandmother was 83 when this picture was taken in June, 1953 at LaPorte, Indiana, three years before her death.

Terhune family

July 1948. We had 5 acres, the house built out of trees cut from the front yard.   We had a small garden which generally supplied us and the neighbors.

Here dad, Ira V. Terhune, is adjusting the cultivator tines on our David Bradley tractor while my younger brother, Robert Murray Terhune and I watch. My sister Katy (Katherine Carol Terhune) is at the helm......
