1. Improving the Union's skills in servicing: The Union will achieve excellence in Servicing by investing in staff and leadership development, shop stewards and committee training, and membership education. Everyone has a role to play and every member will understand clearly his or her responsibility in making the Union effective in the workplace.

2.
Strength through Solidarity action: "United We Stand/Divided We Fall" -- these words ring true, for today workers are under attack. Our strength is in our unity. It is built through action and activity. Every Shop Steward, negotiating committee, health and safety representative is a Solidarity Action Committee. We have a responsibility to inform and lead the membership to support one another.

3. Increase the Local's size to survive: As we organize new members our influence in the hospitality industry increases. The Union will win better Collective Agreements, improve benefits, increase job security and achieve respect as Local 75 grows larger. In each workplace every Union member is respected if it is 100% Union.

The Hand
The Hand symbolizes personal contact. The fundamental strength of any Union is its spirit and the bond between workers. That strength is built and maintained through member-to-member, face-to-face contact. There will be plenty of Local 75 activities to participate in. There will be a Union Structure for personal communications between members. There will be Committees in every workplace.
