Erik, Allison, Sean Cowman (one
of Erik's friends) and I built the uprights on either side of the
arch. Erik and I put together the basic wall sections that flank
the arch.

The statue's name is
Minerva. There's a song where Princess Ida mentions her by
name. The statue is made from another cast of Victoria's bust
from The Grand Duke,
a pair of gloves, chicken wire, muslin,
aluminum wire, pipe, styrofoam, and joint compound. Cynthia
Lempert and Laura Strowe applied the chicken wire, muslin, and paint,
and I provided the rest. She now stands in our dining room.

Erik and I built this cage. It was on wheels, and was dragged out onto the stage with the four actors inside. |

Most of this globe was
constructed by Cythia Lempert. Erik laid out the paper mache for
the globe, and I made the globe spin on its axis in a quasi-balanced
manner.

Allison helped paint various
portions of the set. Here she's assessing the spatteredness of
the floor. |
