Hollow Tip - Thug Status
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- Thug Status has arrived and Hollow Tip gets it started right. His first track is a
solo that has some heat. The beat is good and the background affects are perfect. The
hook has some nice background vocals to it. Just a good track to start off the album
with.
- Some nice instruments in the background to this one. The beat kicks in with some
power. Hollow Tip flows about his success and how others want to take what's his.
Mic-C is on the hook and spits some nice flows. A pretty sicc track overall.
- A simple beat with some good background affects. The hook is ok, but not as good as
the previous track. C-Bo has the second verse and spits some good flows. A couple of
true Sac Kingz here. Mic-C has the last verse and gets a chance to flow rather than
just be on the hook. A good track overall, but C-Bo and Mic-C's verses stand out.
- A decent beat to this track, but I'm not feeling the hook or background affects.
J-Mack has some nice flows on the hook, but I'm not feeling the hook at all. Not a
very good track overall.
- I'm loving the background instruments. I hate the hook though. Weak as fuck. The
vocals are terrible. Hollow flows about how he has a mind of a hustla. Some pretty
good flows and background affects, besides that it's weak.
- The second solo track by Hollow. The beat is ok, and the background affects are
nothing special, but Hollow's flow is sicc! He flows about a variety of things
including the weather. LOL! A good track for the flows.
- I like the hook to this track, but I don't like the overall flow of it. The beat and
background affects don't fit well with it. Hollow Tip does have a sicc flow, even if
it doesn't fit in well. Bludlyne and C-Lim have good verses too.
- Greedy starts this track off with a sicc verse. This is one of the best tracks on the
album no doubt. The hook has some nice vocals to it. Hollow Tip has the second verse
and spits some good flows. B-Legit has the last verse and spits even more great flows.
This track gets your head moving. The best one on the album no doubt.
- This track has a good beat and good background affects. I don't like J-Mack's voice,
but he has some good flows. Hollow Tip shines on this one. The hook is good. Another
track that gets your head moving. Just an overall great track.
- Mic-C starts off with a decent flow. The instruments on this track are great. The hook
is pretty good. This track gets your head moving too. I like they lyrics that Hollow
Tip spits. Just putting it down for the haters.
- A great track!!! Sicc as fuck!! The beat and background affects gets your head moving.
The flow fits in perfectly and Hollow has some heat. Definitely the best solo track on
the album. Everything is tight. Sicc!!!!!
- Some super fast flows on this one. The bad part is the beat can't keep up with them.
The beat and flows by themselves are great, but they don't mix well. Still some sicc
ass flows by all four rappers.
- I like the hook to this one. The beat is ok and the background affects fit in with it
well, but the flows are excellent by Hollow. A decent track overall.
- The final track is a solo with some heat. The beat and affects aren't anything
special, but Hollow has some more great flows. A decent track to end the album with.
Overall this album isn't as good as I thought it would be, but it still has some heat
in a few places. The tracks that stand out are sicc as fuck, but the other tracks are
average at best. I would say listen to it first and then decide if you want to buy it.
